The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) is an internationally recognised standard that is focused on the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements.
Demonstrated PMBOK® compliance ensures professional peace of mind for both the client and project team, along with maximised project efficiency and success rates.
The standard incorporates over six hundred tasks grouped within ten knowledge areas across five process groups. Therefore, PMBOK® is very comprehensive but inherently complex to follow accurately.
Decode IT's PM Box system assists project managers in following the standard by suggesting correct consequential actions, resulting from primary actions, as outlined by the PMBOK standard. Not only does this mitigate human error, it allows project managers to focus on getting the job done instead of constantly having to consider the consequences of each project task.
PMBOK® is very comprehensive and in its entirety can be complex for some projects. This is why PMBOK® is designed to be adapted to suit project size, scope, budget and quality constraints. As a body of knowledge, it can be used to build best practices specific to your business. This is why PMBOK® is published by the PMI under the full name of: A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
